PLUTO IN AQUARIUS: DARKNESS HAS ENTERED THE CHAT
By: Kemi Amusan
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – WHY ARE FRIENDSHIPS FALLING APART?

Why is everybody fighting?
Why are friendships falling apart?
And what’s with all the AI images of people that have never been?
Isn’t this age of Aquarius supposed to be about making this life free and beautiful?
Its scary. Please make it stop.
What does a girl have to do to get some love and light around here please
Well…
Pluto has stepped out of Capricorn and darkness has entered the chat, but then so has our capacity for deeper connection.
When Pluto is in Capricorn the government and big corporations reflects our dark side. When Pluto is in Aquarius, we meet our dark side among ourselves and on social media.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – WHAT DOES BIGOT MEAN?
This transit will bring about progressive (Aquarius) transformation (Pluto) in our friendships, and communities, that will first be heralded by the death and rebirth of experienced in those groups. It will provoke individuality, authenticity, liberation, and eccentricity from the roots.
It will cause a digging deep into our collective psyche to unearth unsavory shadow qualities of phobias, deep seated anger, primal and instinctive fears, power struggles, compulsiveness, taboos, destruction, disempowerment, around humanitarianism, politics, equality, civil rights and socialism
We will see it play out through tribalism, religious bigotry and racism on platforms where we have one-to-many and many-to-many communication. And where these communications are distributed such as social networks, and traditional media.
Our technology which should be tools will seem to become our Lords, controlling our lives.
People who we saw as friends will reveal their controlling, jealous manipulative compulsive and obsessive sides.
Yes, darkness has entered the chat.
But so has our capacity for deeper connection.
Only, we cant see it yet.
Only we can’t see it yet. It is covered by all the noise and wars on social media.
The main objective of this crisis however is to trigger a cycle of death and rebirth in intercultural relations,
The chaos will foster dissension among friends.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – WHEN OUR FRIENDS BECOME ENEMIES… OF PROGRESS… OR SO WE ALLEGE

I mean is it too much to ask that our friends keep their issues to themselves? Especially politics and religious beliefs that don’t align with ours? And why do they feel the need to dig out all our old tweets just to shame us or expose us?
Enemies of progress!
We report the ugliness they spew sometimes and commiserate with them when they are censored. (We did warn them, didn’t we?).
Now we just want to tell them, ‘Getata’ my face, go to your village. Or go to hell, you enemies of (our collective) progress.
Afterall we are God’s chosen, the saints the peculiar people the holier than they.
And maybe that works. For a while.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE IMPLOSION
The child will go into his room but not empty handed. He will take a match stick and some fuel. He will set himself in flames and the whole house will go down with him.
See, we are not exempt from hell after all.
But in silencing those who don’t share our truth, in sending the child to his room we create bigger problems for ourselves in the long run.
The tension will continue to build till it implodes on us.
When we cancel them and silence them, we cause people to internalize their pain and anger and soon we have an epidermic that takes away our loved ones
When we run them out of town, we have more people living in the edges of society and soon they lay a siege around us. Yes, they will win. They have no rules. Like the wildlings in Game of Thrones, they are running from death. And will do anything. Anything. Beyond what our rules bounded self can even comprehend.
And about those machines… ever heard the phrase, you just gotto f around and find out. And according to some conspiracy theorists the machines might just take over.
What then is the way out?
If you can’t beat them join them?
Or burn them all till none remains and the few humans left become overpowered by wild animals?
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE MONSTERS WITHIN
The monsters within are squeezing us out, the monsters without are squeezing us in.
What does a girl have to do to breathe around here?
Well, she may actually have to agree she is the monster… oops. She may have to come to terms with her own monstrosity and flaws.
Pretty please. Consciously. Go to your room. And find out why the hell you are being so triggered?
This is because Pluto in Aquarius is a hero’s journey. The call is to confront our collective shadow and be rid of our limiting beliefs, victimhood, ego, Self-righteousness, comfort zone and projection.
Dad: Go to your room
Son: You go to your room
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE SHADOW WORK
It is not a pretty job. Not one our freshly manicured nails will survive.
It is dirty sticky grimy work. But we don’t roll like that. We are Gucci babes. We love, love and light, and Chick flicks and flix and roses.
“So, (blows on freshly painted nails…) pass.”
We ask to see the imprisoning, silencing, disenfranchising options again. Where all the bad guys go to hell, and the victimized, weak, disenfranchised princesses finally have enough room to live happily ever after.
And… we are back where we started, because we do not want to face the truth that we, not others are the carriers of the negative energy holding us back.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE BURIED TRUTH
We must see the flaws in ourselves and seek to change them, before we are able to properly address the flaws in others and humanity at large. We must first change what is rotten in us as individuals before we can change what is rotten in the collective.
How can you remove the speck in your brother’s eyes when you have not removed the log in your own eyes?
What we detest in others are projections of our own shadows. We are what we see.
So, we might as well face the grime beneath the freshly manicured nails, the unhealthy skin beneath the layers of makeup, the flab beneath the waist girdle. You get the drift.
No amount of protesting will change anything till we change, ourselves. It can’t be negotiated.
We have to take the journey as a collective. We must all go to our rooms… separately… and meet our shadows.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE RESISTANCE
No? why not? What are you afraid of? A dragon in your closet? A monster Beneath the curtains? A nightmare in the dark?
So, we would rather gather around and continue to hurl abuses and propaganda? And protest things that we are just as guilty of?
Guess what? Me too.
We would rather project, deflect, give excuses than do the work. It is so easy to point fingers.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE CAVE WE FEAR TO ENTER

Desperately holding together what is disintegrating, controlling others, in place of the shadow work will only hold us and our society back.
The cave we fear to enter holds the treasures we seek.
We have to change before we gain power.
We have to transform from a deep subconscious place. We have to let go of our frills and ribbons and little princess frocks to take on our crowns and materialize the potential of this transit at a societal level.
Transformation and development can only happen if we remove our rose-colored glasses. Our delusion will help us not a bit.
We must therefore go inward, become aware of our faults, accept them, heal them so we can better understand, accept and work with others to create the society that benefits all.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE POWER OF AWARENESS
This journey into the unknown requires that we meet with the uncivilized, cruel, rageful. jealous, uncouth, embarrassing, violent parts of ourselves that we hide so well or run from, but then continue to see or project to others such as: corrupt politicians, billionaires with depopulation agenda, the lying mainstream media and the conniving corner shop ones, the deadly pharmaceutical industry. artificial Intelligence champions, aliens, loud neighbors, crazy spouses, tyrannical bosses, scheming colleagues who in our opinion should be in hell.
We play God in our condemnation of others and accuse others of doing just that.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – WHAT WE DON’T SEE OR CHOOSE NOT TO SEE

We are aware of the power they have over us. How they manipulate us. But we oftentimes, are unconscious of the fact that we are just as deadly, conniving, tyrannical beneath our tongue speaking, demon casting, bible wielding, prayer and sometimes curse sprouting self-righteous cloaks.
Becoming aware requires that we look into our closets to realize we constantly blame our government for mismanagement of fund because we deny our own shop holism, and the fact that we are depressed.
We are not depressed? Okay.
We accuse our colleagues of being slothful but there is a barrack of roaches in our kitchen cabinets.
No time to do anything other than lie around? It happens.
We face the truth behind our disdain of the rich but our bathroom is clogged with remnants of tissue papers we hoarded from the first week of the covid lockdown in March 2020. Preparing for another apocalypse, are we? No? okay.
We look into our laptops and computers and we realize why we constantly berate the porn industry. We hate ourselves for being so weak-willed and we hate them for making us feel weak.
We look into our diary and it is all green with envy. Those pesky neighbors. Polluting the environment with contaminants from all the fossil fuels. Do they really need five cars?
And traveling to space when there are hungry people in Africa. The country. Africa is not a country?
We look into our bras and sadly there might just be an unwanted lump from tucking in all our anger beneath merry but passive aggressive ‘its fine,’ ‘I am okay.’ ‘If that is what you want.’ ‘Okay then.’ ‘Sure, why not.’ ‘I believe you.’ ‘Good to see you.’
If only people knew we are not so much the sweet summer children they thought we were
We look into all our morality, and we see the pride. Anything for the moral high ground.
Little wonder we resent people who own their power, autonomy. And don’t mind casting a shadow.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – WHY WE DENY OUR POWER
We have denied our power because we were told to run away from our shadows. But then our shadows now seem to be running us but we are too unconscious to even realize that.
The Pluto in Aquarius transit will therefore poke us till we become aware that the unhealed trauma from our painful experiences is running the show. It will trigger our fears till we face them. It will dig deep into our beliefs about ourselves and others and expose the lies that have held us back.
It will challenge us to become aware.
In becoming aware of our own flaws, we will then take back our projection and commence the healing.
So, lets all climb down our high horses, pretty please and surrender to the process.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE POWER OF ACCEPTANCE
Our work doesn’t stop at becoming aware of our flaws. We have to understand them and in understanding them, and not judging or demonizing them, we take back the power they have over us.
All things are pure to him that is pure.
We cannot be whole until we fully see and accept the dark sides of ourselves.
We will be more compassionate towards ourselves when we understand:
The pain behind our anger.
The deep-seated need behind our greed.
The need for soft life behind our sloth.
Rather than dying in shame and self-loathing, understanding our innate creativity, desire, power, passion and life force will help us channel our lust to productivity.
Understanding the drive that the envy of others awaken in us, will challenge us to realize our own goals.
Understanding the need for boundaries behind our closed mindedness will reduce our defensiveness, and open our minds to greater ideas where necessary.
Understanding the need for dignity and self-respect behind our pride will reduce the need to hold the moral high ground, and allow others their dignity as well.
Understanding the pain behind our sadness will free us up to heal and let go and enable our patience when others go through hard times.
Understanding the scarcity mentality behind our gluttony will enable us share, and stop us from criticizing those who never seem to have enough despite their riches.
Understanding the control issues behind our anger will enable us surrender to life and position us to grow our personal power, rather than being blindly manipulated by forces beyond our control.
Understanding the innocence behind our stupidity will reduce our self-condemnation, and help us surrender to the awe and wonder that is life.
Understanding the primal fears and powerlessness behind our need to fabricate and spread conspiracy theories, will heighten our appreciation for inbuilt self-preservation.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – FROM DEEP SEATED HATE, TO DEEP SEATED UNDERSTANDING

Accepting ourselves, flaws and all, unconditionally gives us room to grow to our full potentials as humans.
It also increases our empathy for others. We see them as humans just as us, complete with their own varying shades of pain and joy like us. And not immune to errors.
Like Jesus, we understand that only he who has no sin can throw stones.
We empathize rather than judge. We show compassion, rather than shun.
Maybe we will be greedy if too if we didn’t have enough growing up
Maybe we will be proud if we finally found something we excelled at.
Maybe we will sleep at work too if we just had a baby who cried through the night.
We become understanding when people we hold in high esteem err in their ways.
We understand it can be so damn hard to always be on our A game.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – PERMISSION TO BE AUTHENTIC

Because we no longer suffer under the weight of repression, we give others the permission of freedom and authenticity.
In accepting our shadows, we are able to do the work that Pluto in Aquarius requires of us which is to:
- Heal from victimization.
- Own our personal power.
- Release outdated beliefs and superficiality that hinders true friendship.
- Ultimately, heal our friendship wounds.
- Create space for joint evolution
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE WOUND IS WHERE THE LIGHT AWAKENS THE BODY.

This healing, tolerance and understanding of groups that are different than us prepare the way for us to:
- Stand for individuality, equality and freedom.
- Intellectually and spiritually awaken to work together.
- Thrive in the spaces we share.
- facilitates intercultural interactions.
- Advance humanity on a global scale.
- Ignite the flames of change around societal beliefs.
- Use technology, social media, for humanitarian purposes and not be used by them.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – THE PAIN BEFORE THE GAIN
To fulfill the requirement of this Pluto in Aquarius transit, and be able to stand up to the misuse of power, we must:
- Learn to self-regulate, own our shadows and withdraw our projection to leaders so we can take back or own our personal power and sovereignty
- Understand the complexity of societal problems and settle for the long-term process of the continued process of birth and rebirth -self-awareness self-acceptance self-awakening in the collective
- Be strategic in confronting the antiquity of established systems.
- Value the lives, feelings and experiences of others.
- Reach out and forge new alliances across the divide.
PLUTO IN AQUARIUS – WINTER IS COMING!

Game of Thrones
The Starks and the Lannister were at each other’s throat. Think of Ned Stark (stoic) and Jamie Lannister (powerful). They were both men of honor in their own right, but they failed to see things from each other’s perspectives. Their two families hurt each other a lot as a result.
The Night Watch (rehabilitated criminals) and the Wildlings (untamed) were also at each other’s throat
The Queen across the sea (foreign and mad) and the whole of Westeros were a threat to each other
As the winds of winter began to draw near, Jon Snow (archetypical Aquarian – part Targaryen, part Wildling, park Stark part nobility, part outcast) began preaching the gospel of reconciliation, forgoing differences, in order to beat the common enemy.
He succeeded in bringing all the groups together to fight side by side for their collective interests – survival, when the army of the dead (Pluto) came to Westeros (Aquarius)
And that is what Aquarius is about. It sees beyond the immediate family and lends itself to the service of the collective without needing to be king.
